Dear Cattlemen,
Welcome to the Incredible Female Sale Vo. II. and the
opportunity to select real foundation females that offer lots
of flexibility to work in various breeding programs around the
country regardless of your production goals. These
females represent the elite top end of three reputation
programs: Beitelspacher Ranch, Gunlickson Angus and
Logan Valley Farms. In essence these divisions are
dispersions of these production units with no breeder
selection coming off the top. The genetics that have
jumped all the hoops and hurdles from these programs sell
right off the top and nothing held back. We're proud to
offer them because they have all been challenged by the
environment and sorted by production. They're produced
from time tested cowherds built for a genetic balance of
numbers, ancestry and phenotype, combined with the
non-measurable traits of fleshing ability, structural
soundness, disposition, udder quality and longevity.
We're equally proud of the cutting edge bulls that these
females are bred to. Study the reference sire section in
the catalog and you'll be as excited as we are about the
resulting progeny that will come from these matings. In
a fast changing agriculture industry it is evident that change
is inevitable but some things must remain constant for any
industry, organization or product to prosper. The
important area that we must remain constant for any industry,
organization or product to prosper. The important area
that we must regulate and keep in place is quality genetics.
These ideals, combined with the genetic base, technical
expertise, understanding of the beef industry and a vision
towards the future are the reasons the Angus bred female will
continue to be the foundation for the modern beef industry.
At Bruhn Farms we've always placed extra emphasis on great
foundation females. We're really proud of the track
record on the success stories of last year's sale purchases
and we feel we're deeper, stronger and better than ever this
year. Several of these registered Angus bred heifers
came from the 2006 National Western Foundation Female Sale
where the best of the best are offered. Those females
have production records and breed leading cow families that
could fill a history book and are backed by an unswerving
selection for economic and labor saving traits that include
udder soundness, structural soundness, calving ease, vigor at
birth, pasture and feedlot performance and disposition.
We are now at a point in time where we can do and provide
virtually complete information on these foundation females.
Times have changed, people have changed, cattle have
changed... but one thing hasn't and that's our commitment to
provide leadership to the beef business and providing quality
genetic product in volume. Our aim is to keep a
well-rounded program going, always looking for the right AI
bull and always trying to learn a little more about the cattle
so that we will be able to serve you, our customers.
Sincerely,
Alan Bruhn & Family |
